Malaysia’s Science Center

I just visited the Malaysia Science Center in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.  It’s a fascinating place.  Within a large compound there are three areas - the main Science Center complex, a unique science-based children’s playground and a nature garden.

Outside the complex and within it are interesting interactive exhibits of all sorts.  The complex building itself is fronted by an echo dome.  Try raising your voice while standing underneath!

As you enter the Science Center, you will walk underneath a special glass corridor through which you can see a spectacular array of live fish and other marine animals.

Once inside the Science Center complex, there are different sections with loads of interactive exhibits from which children and adults alike can learn.  Children can develop their sense of observation and cognitive skills while discovering new facts about science and nature.  For example you will learn why small boats can easily sink when the river churns lots of bubbles under them (no, it’s not because water gets into the boat).
